CHARLOTTE, NC (September 11, 2020) – Starting this week and for the remaining 2020 NASCAR Playoff race weeks, the Joey Logano Foundation will distribute $22,000 per week to local charitable organizations in North Carolina. These organizations specifically support children and young adults that are homeless, within the foster care system or aging out of the foster care system.

Currently ranked third on the NASCAR Playoffs leaderboard, Joey Logano will race in the second NASCAR Playoff race of the season this Saturday night at Richmond Raceway. In addition to competing for his second NASCAR Championship, Logano has decided to take his team’s Playoff hashtag, #Believe22, off-track through the Joey Logano Foundation. The #Believe22 campaign extension will be centered around raising awareness and allocating funding to children and young adults in need across the state of North Carolina. Over the course of the next nine weeks, the Joey Logano Foundation will distribute $22,000 in grant funding to organizations that support those who are homeless, within the foster care system or aging out of the foster care system. The goal for these funds is to catapult these children and young adults on the right track to success.

“Sometimes bad things happen to good people,” said Logano. “That is why we have set up the Joey Logano Foundation to support partner organizations with innovative programming and help individuals and communities in need. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Joey Logano Foundation has been able to do some amazing things to give back to those in need with the $1M Response & Recovery Fund with Elevation Outreach earlier this year. In addition, the Joey Logano Foundation hosted the “Heroes Night Out” event at Charlotte Motor Speedway to honor those on the frontlines during this pandemic. We didn’t want the momentum to stop and with just a few weeks left in the season, this additional grant funding will provide more support to those in need and shed light on a handful of amazing organizations.”

The program will officially kick off leading into Richmond Raceway with Logano announcing the plan of the #Believe22 campaign to his social media followers. Over the course of the next nine weeks, five organizations will be highlighted on Logano’s social channels.
