Each year, 600+ C.A.R.E. packages are donated to children & young adults who are going through difficult times. These C.A.R.E. packages include much needed necessity items catered for the recipients (toiletries & hygiene items, clothing, appliances, comfort items, school supplies, etc.). Sponsors have the opportunity to have an employee team building event in their community.
This exciting program invites a few select children going through tough
situations to join Joey at one of his NASCAR races for a behind-the-scenes race experience, filled with a full-day of fun. Additional items in this package include a Joey Logano matching firesuit, customized branded apparel, framed certificate, garage tour, attendance in driver’s meeting, hauler tour, private meet & greet with Joey, & the opportunity to serve as a temporary pit crew member for the day.
In 2019, the Joey Logano Foundation selected 10 organizations to support with grant funding. This dedicated program focuses on the needs of organizations that support children & young adults in vulnerable populations. Funding these grants have helped provide the youth in our community stable programs as they start over. The Joey Logano Foundation is proud to support grant recipients whose overall passion is to provide the best next steps to individuals in need of a second chance.
Children’s Hope Alliance transforms the lives of children, teens & families by focusing on 3 main areas: 1) giving hope for a safe, forever home through group homes, foster care & adoption programs; 2) providing a healthy start through educational, prevention & developmental programs; 3) healing the hurt for children & families who are troubled, abused or neglected through therapy & counseling. In the Fall of 2019, JLF provided over 200 Comfort Care bags to Children’s Hope Alliance – geared towards children entering into the foster care system. Contents included blankets, plush animals, journals, etc. In December, JLF sponsored a Christmas party for the 200+ foster care families within the state of North Carolina. Every child walked away from the evening with at least one gift, dinner was provided & the foster care parents had the opportunity to win higher-end gifts via raffle.
The mission of Least of These Carolinas is to identify & service the physical, emotional & spiritual needs of children & their caregivers with the primary focus on children in foster/kinship care. JLF sponsored 12 young adults around Christmas-time. Each young adult provided their Christmas wishlist & each list was fulfilled through funding by JLF.
At Youth Villages, the YV LifeSet program is designed to help youth aging out of foster care transition successfully to adulthood. Support from JLF, in addition to matching funds from the state of North Carolina, provided crucial sustaining funds for the program throughout the Charlotte area. This program was able to serve 80 youth during the grant period while maintaining an 80% success rate.
The grant received from JLF provided vital operating support for The Relatives' On Ramp Resource Center & critical programming support for their housing program. The On Ramp Resource Center serves ~500+ disconnected young adults each year. The Resource Center assists the young adults with employment, education, housing & independent living skills. Through our grant alone, The Relatives Housing Coordinator was able to work with 26 individuals & provide eight young adults with subsidies to move from homelessness to their own apartments.
