Women Veteran's Group Receives Grant


(MENAFNEditorial) Online PR News 06-November-2017 Alexandria, VA Final Inc. has received a grant from the Joey Foundation (JLF) to support its efforts in providing transitional housing, financial support, education, and other much needed services for homeless women , many of whom are single mothers.

Final Salute is the local grantee in the JLF Chasing Second Chances program, which makes grants to local charities along the NASCAR circuit. This generous grant ensures that Final Salute can continue its mission to bring awareness to the often-hidden and underreported problem of homelessness among women veterans, to provide financial assistance during housing transition, and to support the aspirations of women veterans to live proudly and independently.

We appreciate the generous support of the Joey Logano Foundation. Because of their partnership with Final Salute, we can further assist our residents in finding affordable housing, gainful employment, and educational opportunities, stated .

Maj. Jas Boothe, a disabled Army veteran and cancer survivor has dedicated her career to helping homeless women veterans, founded Final Salute Inc. in 2010 to identify and meet the unique needs of homelesswomen veterans. She is currently on full-time duty with the Army National Guard.
