Charlotte, NC – Congregations for Kids (CFK), a non-profit that mobilizes the community to be champions for kids in foster care, is excited to partner with the Joey Logano Foundation (JLF) to meet emergency need requests for youth in foster care through the CAREnow platform.
The Joey Logano Foundation invests in organizations offering second chances to children and young adults
during times of crisis and works to inspire others to live a life of generosity. Through a generous grant, the Joey Logano Foundation committed to meeting the emergency needs of youth in foster care in the Greater Charlotte area for the remainder of 2023.
The needs are identified by child welfare social workers and requests are submitted through CAREnow.
CAREnow, powered by CFK, is a technology platform that helps meet immediate, tangible needs to help
stabilize children connected to the child welfare system. The Joey Logano Foundation grant will focus on
meeting the emergency needs that come through the CAREnow platform.
“We are incredibly grateful for this partnership as it allows CFK to immediately fulfill needs that are classified as emergency needs for children in foster care. Just last week we were able to provide clothes for a child in foster care that was in the emergency alone, without a caregiver. Not only are these needs essential, but they also provide dignity to children experiencing the unimaginable. The Joey Logano Foundation mission aligns with exactly what we do at CFK and we are encouraged by their dedication to come alongside those on the frontlines”, said Nicole Taylor, Executive Director of CFK.
“At the Joey Logano Foundation, we invest in organizations offering second chances to children and young
adults during times of crisis, with a special focus on those within the foster care system. Partnering with Congregations for Kids was an easy decision for Joey and I as we have seen the amazing work they are doing and continue to do in the Charlotte area. It is so crucial to make a positive impact on these first moments when a child is being placed in a new home or going through an emergency, and so being able to help provide for kids at a pivotal moment in their lives means the world to us.” – Brittany Logano, Founding Vice-Chairman of JLF.
